変更前：The results were shown in Table 1.

変更後：The results are shown in Table 1.

結果（Results）の項は過去形を中心にして組み立てないといけませんが、「〇〇を図1に示す」「〇〇を表2に示す」というときは例外です。日本語で書くときは「示す」と書いている方でも、英語で書くときにわざわざ過去形にしてしまっている例が散見されます。

変更前：patients with Type 3 Von Willebrand disease

変更後：patients with type 3 von Willebrand disease

大文字と小文字の使い分けに注意してください。「II型糖尿病」等の英語表現に用いる“type”にしても、頭文字を常に大文字で表記するのは誤りです。

変更前：manage blood glucose

変更後：control blood glucose

「血糖を管理する」というとき、manageよりcontrolを使うことが多いです。

変更前：female was an independent predictor

変更後：female sex was an independent predictor

「女性（であること）は独立予測因子であった」の意。上記のように主語を“female sex”とするか、あるいは“being femaleとするのがよいでしょう。

変更前：Baseline XX in this study was higher than that in the previous study.

変更後：Baseline XX was higher in this study than in the previous study.

語順が変更され、thatが削除されることによって読みやすくなっています
