変更前：Opinions are divided on the XX

変更後：XX is controversial

変更前のフレーズは「意見が分かれている」という意味で、ネイティブも使用する正しい表現ですが、より簡潔な文にするためcontroversialを用いて書き換えました。

変更前：international standard ratio

変更後：international normalized ratio

プロトロンビン時間の「国際標準比」ですね。INRの略語で定着していますので普通は間違えないと思いますが、「国際標準比」を直訳してしまうと誤りかねないところです。

変更前: XX alleviated the progression of the disease

変更後: XX slowed the progression of the disease

日本語では「進行を軽減する」といってもさほど違和感がないかもしれませんが、英語だとslowやreduceのほうが自然です。

変更前：at the time of breast cancer diagnosis

変更後：at diagnosis of breast cancer

“at the time of”は、文脈的にatのみで問題ないケースがよくあります。“breast cancer diagnosis”は間違いではないですが、いわゆるstacked nounsですので使いすぎないように気を付けましょう。

変更前：XX resulted in a four-fold increase in the risk

変更後：XX caused a quadrupling of the risk

変更前の表現でも何ら問題ないのですが、同一論文中に再三同じフレーズが出てきて単調になってしまっていたので、別の表現を用いました。文字数も少し減らすことができました。
